The Mad Scientist Steampunk Wings

Her lab had just grown to large. Level upon level of experiments
and mechanical creatures, a low hum and bubble of activity filled the space. Her elaborate ladder system just wasn't working for her anymore, she needed a way to get where she needed to go faster. She had to design a better system, but what?

The answer came in the form of a friend, the Owl.
She had a tragic accident that resulted in the loss of her ability to fly. Using wood and gears and steam the Mad Scientist created a set of wings to help the Owl fly. She had the answer to her problem.

The wings are made from plywood and walnut. They are stained and held together with various nails. The straps are made using leather belting to create a comfortable wearing experience. The embellishments have been collected over time from vintage shops, craft fairs and yards sales.

These wings run about 2 feet wide.
